missing These six three by five foot windows at the Waitsfield United Church
of Christ in Waitsfield, Vermont were blocked by peeling and yellowing contact paper. I envisioned them as the
six days of creation, painted with acrylic paint on foam-core board. I had the whole congregation contribute their hand
outlines to the sixth day- People. I enlisted the Sunday School Kids to paint three- Animals, Plants, and Light/Dark.
I painted Heavenly Bodies and Water myself. Condensation on the windows has damaged the paper coating and caused paint
to bleed- most obvious in Light/Dark. The panels were up for about a year, and taken down to make way for Christmas
decorations in 2006.
